Main Street Laureate.

I'm Poet Laureate Of Main Street. They voted.  I won. ' came down to me and the kid whose dog shits on everyone's lawns.
His poem was about a missing red crayon. Mine- the stop sign someone stole from the corner of Elm and Main. (I think I know who did it too.)
Is it coincidence both poems are about loss?
Probably not. Poetry is at its best when expressing loss.
He'll probably win the position back next year with a weepy poem about not having been chosen Poet Laureate Of Main

Every Other Thing.

It's odd to realize that ones life is best described experientially, as a series of discoveries in an irreducible phenomenon cast in viscus matrices.
These "days"... The obvious superficial and arbitrary way with which we sever experience and consciousness, Yet, neither emotionally, nor intellectually are we cognizant of the ephemeral boundaries. Time, as a biological value carries over into our social constructions, but there its value ends. That it is an a-prior is hard to argue with. That it does not extend into the intellectual realm is also to plain Every Other Thing

A Poetic Mess.

The mess on the passenger side floor of my dodge van is prose... or poetry. The battle rages! Are we the dialectical heirs, or hairs?
"The cross or the cross hairs"-  Carrol said that.
"He was awake a long time before he remembered his heart was broken"- That's Hemingway.
"A rose by any other name..."- Shakespeare, of course.
A poetic work in the making!  A poetic mess!

I've heard of people taking polaroids and putting then in the freezer after about 15 seconds to get very strange effects. You have to put them directly on a freezing surface I think, to manipulate the chemical's temperiture.

Don't get any of it on anything your going to eat (your hands either). The alkalinity of the chemicals is very powerful and probably posionous too.

I love photography. I know good work when I see it.
