.
I dreamed you disappeared down shore's long curve,
dipped abandoned prints, the jealous waves
smoothed by manic curl, and rushed away
reminders of the straightness of your stride,
I dropped a hand to bar the zealous tide.
And woke to glimpse your flowered dress go by.
Blue and velvet pearl, the curtained sun
flashed like tears, that fall into a well,
from the window of a house, imprisoned by
a sandy path, where love each day denied,
finds in the folds of sleep, a place to hide.
